What is meant by the term hallucinogenics?
This describes a drug which alters perception; the way you see, hear, feel, smell or touch the world. This can mean that the senses can get all mixed up or changed. People may see colours much more brightly, hear sounds differently, or say that they can hear’ colours and see’ sounds – a phenomenon known as synaesthesia.
They might also see things that aren’t there and this can be very frightening for some people. LSD and magic mushrooms and the strongest types of cannabis are hallucinogenic, as is DMT and to an extent ecstasy.
